Kanzaki Specialty Papers is committed to manufacturing and distributing quality surface-coated materials in an atmosphere driven by cost-effective production and full utilization of its human resources.

Kanzaki Specialty Papers is a leading name in the direct thermal paper manufacturing industry. Since 1986, we have been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oji Imaging Media Co., Ltd. in Japan, the third largest producer of paper in the world. We work in tandem with our international family of we have enough experience, knowledge, and resources to deliver the best paper solutions to our customers. Our mission is to create sustainable paper products that are both environmentally responsible and meet the high standards of our customers.

Environmental Impact Mitigation:

Kanzaki Specialty Papers shares important responsibilities concerning the environment and protection of natural resources – including air, land and water. Kanzaki has and continues to support our obligations regarding the preservation of the environment with a set of written principles.

Kanzaki Specialty Papers is committed to:

  • Make environmental, health and safety considerations a priority in current and future operating facilities

  • Recognize the environmental, health and safety effects of product manufacture, distribution, use and disposal when developing and designing products to meet customer specifications

  • Monitor our environment, health, and safety performance to report regularly on these matters to Kanzaki’s Board of Directors as well as confirming our adherence to these principles annually to the American Paper Institute

  • Train employees in their environmental, health and safety responsibilities to promote awareness and accountability on these matters

  • Improve environmental, health and safety performance through support of research and development that advances the frontiers of knowledge

  • Communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, the community and public officials to build a greater understanding on environmental, health and safety matters

  • Participate constructively in the development of public policies on environmental, health and safety matters

  • Maintain, promote, and support sustainable forest management through our chain-of-custody forestry certification

Safety Policies:

Kanzaki Specialty Papers is committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees. The management of this organization considers no phase of operation or administration as being of greater importance than accident prevention. It is the policy of the company to provide and maintain safe and healthful working conditions and to follow operating practices that will safeguard all employees and results in safe working conditions and efficient operation.

Kanzaki received the Occupational Safety Award of Honor from the Western New England Safety Council in 2013 by being recognized for reducing our Occupational safety incident rate and being below the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) average.

Kanzaki received the Western New England Excellence and Safety Award from the Western New England Safety Council in 2014 by being recognized for demonstrating true and sustainable safety excellence in our Ware, Massachusetts manufacturing facility.
